You're kidding, right? Why keep honoring those who died in WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Persian Gulf, or the "War on Terror"? Because they died in senseless acts of violence. The same thing is true for the close to 3000 people who died in Lower Manhattan, Washington, and Pennsylvania. They died in the largest terror attack on our mainland... why wouldn't we honor them? Do you honor your loved ones who have died? I hope so... This topic is a very close one to me, I have friends who had loved ones die at the WTC that day. If we don't honor those who died, the entire memory of 9/11/01 will slip into just a memory, which is something that should NEVER happen. Shame on you for being insensitive and disrespectful of the families of those 3000 who were killed in a senseless act of terror.

There are three pivotal moments in our countries history that will be huge in our country's history #1 D Day #2 Pearl Harbor
#3 Attack on the Twin Towers on 911
We need to keep honoring those people because they died at the expense of terrorists who wanted to make a point. They were innocent except for the fact that they were Americans (and others) who happened to be the right place at the wrong time.
They represent innocent lives murdered at the hands of terrorists that have little regret for the life or death of people who really didn't deserve to be killed.
The event of 911 is so huge that is will be a powerful reminder of what would happen if we didn't have a strong military to protect us. In our country- each life is so valuable that even one life lost would of been a nightmare. The fact that so many lives were lost multiplies our grief. We are reminded that we are not invincible.
We are also reminded of how much we take our safety for granted. Compared to the rest of the world our lives are so full of oppertunities and freedom.- 911 reminds us that we are not immune to the evil that is in the world. Each life lost represnts the variety of people that live in our country. We value life and freedom and when 911 happened we were painfully reminded of how we need to be greatful for what we often take for granted.,
We honor the people of 911 becasue of their value has human beings. If we forget those lost on 911, we become selfish and
take our freedoms for granted.

It is proper to honor our heroes & it is also proper to remember those who have passed from this life, and to speak of them with respect. It is also a part of the grieving process and that is a long process when death is involved, especially on massive scale.
Also, have you never heard, or learned that those who forget are doomed to repeat mistakes? Have you never lost a loved one? If so, then I can only say that one day you will, and then your understanding will be much more reasonable & sympathetic.

Are you a moron? Imagine terrorist attacks killed 3000 of your best friends. Would you continue to honor them? What the hell is wrong with you? I have seen some stupid questions, but this one takes the cake. Open your dumb *** eyes and think for a minute before you post a question. You should be able to figure this one out on your own. But I guess you didn't think about it. Well, think about it now you idiot.

so we can remember and never forget what happened on that fateful day. I, for one, will never forget the killing of innocent people
and Honor them for their unknowing sacrifice they made to wake
up this country and the world that the terrorist exist and they want to kill everyone that doesn't follow their way of thinking.
