A bench grinder will remove all scratches.

I have DiskRx (I believe, I haven't used it in a while). It has a machine which spins and polishes a wet disk. If the scratches go all the way through it won't help.

I tried something from walmart once, didn't work worth a flip. I don't remember what brand it was though.
