I need to lose weight obviously and would like to be down about 19lbs by halloween and don't want to involve my parents. Don't try to make me involve my parents because I just won't! I don't want my parents to know I am trying to lose weight because they are very 'you don't need to be perfect your great the way you are' kind of people and I don't always belive them because I have a serious problem. Because of my weight problem I have zits, can't get the clothes I want, have extremly low self esteem, and don't make many friends (because of my self esteem and because of shallow people [also the reason of no boyfriend.] so yeah) I was hoping there were some people out there in the e-world that can help me hopefully there are some people. The things I have are; a stationery bike, a puppy, 10lb wieghts, and a very big hill by my house. What I want is to weigh 97lbs and have tiny theighs, little hips, [extremly] flat tummy, and small arms. I am very hyper at times.

Go slow, and keep track of what you eat and exercise. Just hang in there, and it will get easier.
Yeah for you!

first off, set smaller, more realistic goals. Don't say 19lbs byhalloween because to lose that much weight in 1.5 months wouldn't be healthy. also, at twelve, by the time you got down to 97 lbs you will have grown enough that COULD be underweight, i'd have to check your BMI (body mass index) score and i'm a little too sick to worry with that right now (darn sinus infections). the first thing you need to do is start excersising.. it doesn't matter HOW you get it (walking up the hill a lot of times, playing kickball/basketball/soccer, swimming, playing at the park) so long as you are getting at least 30 minutes, and preferably an hour a day. next, try to have LESS sugary foods.. it's not practical to change your entire diet in one day, especially since your parents are buying your food still.. so aim for less.. don't drink that soda in the afternoon (or fruit juice.. it's good for ya, but unless it's 100% it's packed with a lot of bad sugar, and even the 100% has a lot of natural sugar) go for water instead.. don't snack as often.. (again drink water if you get a craving, it will help some, or snack healthy.. grapes.. apples.. fresh fruits!) as for the zits.. well you are stuck with those for a while probably, it's just a growing pain :( and as for the parents, you are right that you need to maintain a healthy weight, but they are more focused on your self-esteem. try talking to them and telling them it's not that you think you look BAD, it's that you feel you need to be healthier, and make sure they know you aren't going overboard and trying to look like a toothpick, you just want to drop a few pounds so you can feel better physically and they will probably be a little more acceptive.
good luck!

you want to weigh 97lbs? thats not healthy. Im 19 and 5'1 and i weigh 110. you have all the tools you need. all you have to do is take the time to go out on walks with your puppy. get on the bike for about 30 min everyday or every other day and eat healthy. eat a lot of chicken with out the skin. instead of cooking it in oil cook it in the oven with out adding any fat. eat vegies and again no need to add fat. if you work out and eat healthy you'll be able to lose weight. and sometimes it takes a while to lose it so dont get discouraged. just keep on it. GOOD LUCK!

Eat smaller meals and more often to raise your metabolism, and try to fill up on the more healthy things in your diet and eat less of the ones that are bad. Like eating a large salad before filling up on pizza or something. Drink plenty of water or your body will retain it. Exercise daily and do not eat within 3-4 hrs of bedtime. Also, eating breakfast helps raise your metabolism so be sure not to skip it. Stop drinking soda and eating sweets, after awhile you won't even crave it.

Tell ur parents that you'd like to see a nutrition specialist. If they know that you aren't just wanting to lose weight for appearances, but also for your personal health (your zits, prevention of diabetes, etc.) they will almost definitely be up for it. Try your local health department, they are great for resources like that and usually a very reasonable price. If you don't want to involve parents, just ask an aunt or older cousin or something. Best wishes!

zits and weight gain come from greasing foods: french fries, pizza, fried chicken, hamburgers...
zits also come from animal fat: whole milk, butter...
Drink 2% milk (lowfat), cut out the junk food (chips, fries), eat healthy (fruit and veggies) and drink water lots of water. If you are in school get active and participate in sports activities. Don't drink sugary sodas. Good luck.
Have a positive view of yourself. You are young and able to change for the better before you are an adult when it is more difficult.

Uh. Run up and down the hill, take your puppy with you... Eat healthy... Use the bike everyday, and the weights.. You basically answered your own question, use all that stuff you have, and get self control on what you eat.

Lifting weights makes you heavier due to gaining of muscle. Little hips and thighs are not attractive. Being heavy doesnt make you have zits, it's the oily skin, or the foods you eat to make you have zits. Try excerising more, and eating properly.

Be careful when trying to lose weight...some people just aren't built to be tiny (i'm one of those people.) As you get older you'll thin out, but for now just take it easy...get a good and healthy exercise program and eat healthy! you can do it! good luck ;)

Go see a Nutritionist. I know it's probably kinda hard to do that because you'll most likely have to ask your parents permission and help. But that's my suggestion. They'll be able to tell you what's best and what will work fastest for YOUR body. We can all make suggestions on here, but they'll be basically based on OUR bodies, and that won't really help you.
Good luck!
