my dog got out of the fence and we cant find her anywhere. she has done this before but always comes back or we are always able to find her. she has been gone for almost 6 hours and we cant find her in any of her usual spots. she is a pit bull and its dangerous for her to be out because people dont go up to a pit bull and say "hey doggy lets try and find your home" instead they get scared and throw rocks at her. pit bulls are also banned where i live but its not really inforced everyone has them but if they are found running lose the pound just puts them to sleep. im freaking out and dont know what to do. my dog is my baby. i usaully watch her every time i let her out in the yard but this morning i was sleeping and my mom let her out and forgot about it. i dont know what to do. please HELP

make posters and put them up everywhere you can think of. I would also call the pounds and just let them know ur dog is out there maybe give them a picture. they wont put him to sleep if they know he belongs to someone. You can also post ands on Hoobly.com and probably some other sites if u look for them. Hoobly is free to make an account. Good luck im sure he knows his way home and will be there in no time.

Well i have a rottweiler and they think the same about those type of dogs. Rottweilers can be very dangerous and there are not many people who will go up to a rottweiler either. My rottweiler is A german and i have heard that they are more aggressive then the Americans. Anyways besides that. My rottweiler used to escape from the backyard that we have at my mothers house. now since many many people are afraid of those type of dogs just like your pit bull because of the bad reputation they have no one will try and get it to somewheres to find the person that owns the dog. what i ended up doing was we found a strong enough leash that she could not break or chew through and tied her up in the backyard so that she could not escape. i know it sounds mean because they are tied up but if those type of dogs are not allowed in your country or where ever you live that is the best idea to not let her/him escape. if i have any other ideas i will let you know. i hope you find your dog. Get a group of friends and you and your friends split up and look for your puppy.......you can also make "lost dog" signs and try to see if someone will find her or a least tell you if they saw her. Hope you find your puppy and good luck!!!

Call the local pound maybe they have her ..did she have tags

How smart do you have to be not to let a pitbull out... Serious man if your mom did that she shouldn't be taking care of a pitbull of all things. If she bites/kills someone not only will the dog die you'll most likely get sued. I sued someone for 3,000 dollars (even though i oculd of gone to 20,000 dollars) for a dog bite.. all thought that was a realy bad bite...
