right off the bat is of course physical attraction.
then how she talks
manners
humor
values
expectations
some categories may more than make up for other ones, but of course there are always exceptions.

this changes as you age so you may want to be a little more specific.
When i was in my teens, I was concerned with physical attractiveness
When I was in my Early twenties, I wanted someone to have fun and party with.
When I hit my late 20's I started looking for someone who would make a decent mother for my children.(ended up divorced but thats another issue)
When I hit my 30's(I am now 39) I realized that all I really needed is someone to relax with and talk to.
