I have a over a hundred numbers in my cell phone. personally, i open up to people and talk to them and let them know they are loved. not all the time tho, i try to keep people at a distance, because after awhile of letting people in, they started coming in droves, and it got outta control, so to control it, i push people away. but people still get through, and i'm good at talking to them. i can read people very well, and they open up to me alot, and i might say that one thing that they take to heart and use in their lives. im bragging a bit because my life is fun mostly and i've gotten alot of good opportunities because people noticed. i can count my girlfriends on ten fingers, and then of course there's family, which is HUGE, but when it comes to people i start conversations or they start conversations with me, and the conversation doesn't end. It what i like to call connecting!

I'm still pretty much the same - I think it's just the number of people who come into my life at a certain time ...

It indicates their vulnerability to a people of habit which essentially thrives on delusion that doing the rituals involved in freindship completes their lives and without it they couldn't survive harmoniously...

That they're an extrovert. Extroverts tend to have a crap load of "friends," who actually are aquaintances. You can only have a few friends in the truest sense of the word, IMHO.

They have alot of time to socialise and not much quiet/calm/recharging time for themselves. They are not comfortable being alone. They hate their own company. Without people/friends they will wither and fade away.

it depends.. just because a person has 50 friends, doesn't make them a good friend.. probably just means that they are insecure about it

You'd have to know the person to be able to determine that.

Either they're well loved; OR need people to validate them.
