I had braces for almost two years so I am well versed in eating with them. I still have to eat as if I had them because part of my front teeth is fake since I knocked part of my tooth off when I was a child.
1. Do not bite into anything that puts strain on your braces. If peaches put strain on it then cut it up. Tear up any food that may hurt them or cause pain to you.

I would cut it just so that all of the peach stuff doent get stuck in you brackets. I am sure that you could eat it whole but I think that the fruit would get really stuck in your front brackets. Just cut it up or get the fruit cups where it is already cut.

It depends on pain or other "wobbly tooth" discomfort.
You may want to try the following website:
http://www.archwired.com/soft_foods.htm
It lists a bunch of braces-friendly-food and recipes for ouchy mouths.
