baby girl, it could be lots of reason. one, he might think that you don't like him. two, he might think that you're out of his league. three the other girl is easier to talk to. to solve the problem, be friendly and talk to him. make he feels comfortable around you.

It's kinda complex. Let's see if I can put it in scientific terms. For starters, we're stupid morons with unusually inflated egos. That's it. When we like a girl, we don't want to give the impression that we're desparate or eager. We want to give the impression that we are DA MAN. Whatever. So we give the impression that you girls should pursue us, DA MAN. However, it reciprocates, women are the same way but there is no term coined yet for that. I'll just call it the "I-aint-no-holla-back-girl" syndrome.
Look. Guys want to meet girls. Girls want to meet guys. Quite playing games and start with hello.
Hope that's clear as mud.

Personally, I really don't know but I think there scared and maybe if they ask another girl (since you know that they like you) you might get jealous and you will want to go out with him. So maybe he wants you to make the first move.

How do you know who or what someone likes? Just because your friends say someone likes you? How do they know? You CANNOT make someone like you or ask you out. Guys will ask if they want to, same goes for girls. People either like you and ask you out or they don't and won't.

I think you do understand. Most guys fear rejection. They are afraid they'll get turned down. If you know such a guy, and you really think he would like to go out with you, ask him out. I'm a guy and that's the way I am. I'm sure I'm not alone.

Fear. If they ask her out and she says "no", they don't get to ask her again.
But if they ask someone out they don't like to much, it doesn't hurt so much if they're told "no".
If there's a guy who you think likes you, who you like, take a risk yourself. Stop making him do all the hard work. Tell him flat out, "This is my phone number. You can call me sometime." Or ask him if he's ever thought about asking you out. Or ask him out yourself. "I'm having a few friends over, would you like to come?" and then have the few friends be 1 or 2 girlfriends with their boyfriends. Or just ask like you expect him to ask.

It's cause guys are supposed to be big and macho and manly. But they're really scared little chickens.
They're just as afraid of rejection as girls are. And so when they really like a girl, they don't particarly like to attempt to start a relationship when they feel small and embarassed. Yeah, its stupid, but its the way guys work. ;D

Probably insecurity.
If they ask a girl out they don't really like, then 'when they lose them' it won't hurt. They are insecure in their ability to talk to or relate to a girl. Their dads spends all his time talking about stupid football instead of something that really matters in life.

Girls they don't like they probably won't feel nervous about and they think that with girls they do like that they will be rejected

They don't like rejection. Some think the least attractive girls will say yes faster.

Because the girls they like are probly hot and they feel like they might get rejected and the ones they don't like aren't as hot or popular and they feel their chances are better of them saying yes.
