Today most military fighters have topspeed of about mach 2 with afterburner or just under mach 1 without. Topspeed also depends on what altitude your cruising on. The new f22 have a none afterburner topspeed of about mach 1,5 and that is called a supercriuse speed (If I remember it correctly). Hopes it helps! Johan

It's about 1350MPH.
It can't go any faster because it doesn't have a variable geometry air inlet to slow the air down to subsonic before it enters the engine. So there is no secret fast speed with this aircraft.

As someone has already mentioned, That is an estemation. The USAF isn't to enteusastic about releasing details. At 50,000 ft I would guess that they even reach Mach 2.15-20.
