2 in one night. It would have been 3 but the chain popped and locked the back wheel so they just dropped it. It was when I first started racing bmx and I was locking my bikes against a post out behind my house and sticking them under a tarp. I woke up the that morning when my dad called and asked why the bikes were laying out. I said I had locked them up and he told me that the one was laying in the road behind the house (he lived walking distance from work) I went out there and found my racing bike and my brothers bike gone with my old bike laying in the road out behind the house. Now I do not know how they got into my yard without the rotweiler barking to cut the chain and take the bikes. I went looking down through the neighborhoods looking for them but never did find them. The only thing from my bike that was found was the numberplate that was on the bars. It was found in a dumpster 2 blocks away. Needless to say any bike that I have had since then is either in my house or locked onto the roof rack I have on my car.

Lord have mercy...... at least seven or eight. However, I got some degree of satisfaction twice. On two occasions, I have chased down the scumbags using a motor vehicle, and got the bikes back. Once I made a good faith attempt to kill the little ******* by running him over, but he jumped off the bike at the last possible second, and disappeared over a fence. Another time I chased down the little scumbag, and broke a baseball bat next to his head as he cowered, crying on the ground.
Be warned. I WILL chase you, and lose control if you steal from me, and I catch you in the act.

i've gone through four bikes. one was stolen. one was taken apart and used for scrap parts cause i outgrew it. and the other two were broken beyond salvage by my obsession with bike ramping and various bike wrecking stunts.

I have never had a bike get stolen -- do you lock your bike up when you are not using it? --- I also don't leave it outside overnight... I park it inside my apartment.
