My friend is in a dilemma, she started talking to this guy on the phone and by email. She has only recently been talking to him, but she asked him whether he was single and he replied by email saying that he was gay and was in a relationship and so wouldn't be what she was after.

But today he sent her a message saying that if he was honest with her, he was a bit worried about the interest she was showing in him when they have not yet met and he is suggesting that she finds someone closer to her because he lives a distance away.

She is wondering whether he is actually hetrosexual as apposed to homosexual, hoping that she would be put off by it.
What do you guys think?

I would say that it doesn't matter whether this guy is straight or gay, he's just not interested in your friend's attention and she should leave him alone.

Ok,
My friend rowhan said
'well if he says he's gay it pretty much means he is. And she hasnt even met him so why doesn't she get over it'

My girlfriend says
'Tell your friend to get over her forceful heterosexuality, if he says hes gay he probably is........and if it isn't he's obviously not interested so why bother'

I say

'Hmmm.........gay or not, who cares he ain't interested in your friend as anything more than a friend so maybe she should cool off a bit, unless she doesn't want to be friends with him at all. Coz shes just gonna scare him off. Either that or she could just be honest about her suspions. But I guess that doesn't really happen in this day and age does it.

At least he admitted that he is gay before the girl wants to move on to the next level with him. If she doesn't like that, she can find herself another friend, as the gay guy advised her to do. They can still remain friends, in touch, and just enjoy their friendship. Whether he is something else, it is not really her business anymore..because at least she now knows that he's gay and not what she expected.

Does it really matter? If he's gay he's not interested and if he's willing to lie about being gay not to hurt your 'friends' feelings then hes still not interested. Your friend just has to move on and just decide if she wants to still be friends with him and accept thats all its gonna be or just end contact with him. But the distance doesn't really matter unless shes planning on going and visiting every day.

I think he is just finding your friends attention a bit off-putting. Perhaps shes being a touch 'clingy'.
Whether he is straight or gay is neither here nor there, its the 'leave me alone' message she needs to hear!

He's gay. No guy would say he's gay just to get away from a possible relation.

i think that if he is joking about being gay the first time he met u then yeah he probably is, and if he's joking about it he just may want 2 try it. so i say don't mess with him, either he's gay r just immature.

I don't know any guy that would play homosexual, They wouldn't want everyone to think that they were gay.
