What can be done to enhance or improve same?

Our education system is sorely lacking. The root of the problem lies at the feet of universities which hand out degrees in education to whomever can last 4 years and pay tuition. I graduated from pharmacy school back in 1970, and about half of the original class had dropped out and entered the school of education due to the fact they couldn't make it in any other field. My cousin, also a pharmacist, had to transfer to the education department due to the fact he was wrestling and he did not have the time pharmacy school required. He told me that just showing up to class in education earned a "B", and any effort at all rendered an "A" for the course.
We also need to bring God back in the classroom and ask Him to bring His Paddle with Him.
