I HAVE A REALLY GOOD CHICKEN RECIPE. ITS FROM THE FOOD CHANNEL. IT COMES OUT REALLY TASTY AND JUICY.

1 (5 to 6 pound) roasting chicken
salt and pepper
1 large bunch fresh thyme, plus 20 sprigs
1 lemon, halved
1 head garlic, cut in half crosswise
2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter, melted
1 large yellow onion, thickly sliced
4 carrots cut into 2-inch chunks
1 bulb of fennel, tops removed, and cut into wedges
Olive oil

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Remove the chicken giblets. Rinse the chicken inside and out. Remove any excess fat and leftover pin feathers and pat the outside dry. Liberally salt and pepper the inside of the chicken. Stuff the cavity with the bunch of thyme, both halves of lemon, and all the garlic. Brush the outside of the chicken with the butter and sprinkle again with salt and pepper. Tie the legs together with kitchen string and tuck the wing tips under the body of the chicken. Place the onions, carrots, and fennel in a roasting pan. Toss with salt, pepper, 20 sprigs of thyme, and olive oil. Spread around the bottom of the roasting pan and place the chicken on top.
Roast the chicken for 1 1/2 hours, or until the juices run clear when you cut between a leg and thigh. Remove the chicken and vegetables to a platter and cover with aluminum foil for about 20 minutes. Slice the chicken onto a platter and serve it with the vegetables.

hope this helps!

If you both like fish...choose your favorite fish for this recipe.

Fish Rolls Primavera:
1 c carrots, shredded
1 c zucchini, shredded
2 TBS onion, finely chopped
1/2 c breadcrumbs
1/8 tsp thyme leaves
1/4 c butter, melted
4 fish fillets

Preheat to 375. Combine veggies, breadcrumbs, and thyme. Combine butter and lemon. Add 1/4 c to veg mixture. In shallow baking dish, place equal amount veggie mixture on each fillet; roll up. Pour remaining butter over fillets. Bake 15 min.

Serve with caesar salad, white rice, and steamed veggies.
Delicious and nutritious

If he likes stove top stuffing:
get some chicken breasts put a piece of swiss cheese on the top of them, then take one can of cream of chicken soup(two cans if you have more than three pieces), add a little less than half a can of water and mix pour over chicken sprinkle a bag of stuffing over the top and cover with tinfoil and bake at 375 for One hour, if you want to ,season the chicken breast before putting cheese on it. Then make some mashed potatoes and add a little sour cream and garlic to them so you don't have to make gravy and put a can of green beans on the fire.

Now it depends on what he likes I like seafood , so i cook shrimp alfredo. don't use the store brand alfredo it's horrible make it homemade.Take some heavy cream which you can get at the grocery store some butter parmesan cheese and white pepper. Add the cream to a skillet bring to a boil add cheese, butter and white pepper or black reduce and add your shrimp cooked and linguine cooked simmer 10 minutes or until thickened. Now if your sauce is too thick add a little milk but not too much.

Either make a broiled steak or charchol girlled.

Baked potato (rub skin with butter before baking, poke some holes in it, wrap with tin foil, and then bake at 400 for an hour or an hour and a quarter depending on size) the skins are better with the butter coating.

brussell sprouts with butter.

some type of cheesecake topped or made with a fruit he likes.

My husband's favorite is steak, steamed artichoke with butter, and baked potatoes. Boring, huh? If you want to spice it up a bit try Chicken Parmigian with a salad of mixed greens and garlic bread. Have fun, I hope he enjoys it!

Order out from a nice resturant.

Get your nice baking dishes and transfer the stuff from the resturant packaging

put baking dishes in oven about 20 min before he gets home at the lowest setting the oven will go

throw the packages from the resturant in bag and throw outside in garbage can

get out nice plates, light candles, turn on classical music

Serve meal.

It should be nice and hot and you sort of baked it
