Please answer my question...?

There's this guy on my swim team who's two years older than me. I'm a freshman and he's a junior. He's offered me rides many times and stayed with me while I was waiting for my ride once although my coach was still there waiting with me also. Once at a swim meet, he kept bringing up guys who are on the team and asking if I liked any one of them. He gives me compliments about things and when this other girl on my swim team asked him to go with her to homecoming as friends he said yes. When she was telling me about it. He came up and jokingly asked me if I was jealous. I think it's over a 6 month period that he did all this. At homecoming he complimented me on how I looked and asked if I came with a date. He asked me about the guys I danced with. But when we email he usually gives 5 word answers and I know he's really nice to everyone. So does he like me?

Sorry if you already answered my question. I just never got any thorough answers.

I would say that he likes you. He doesn't know how to ask you out, or maybe he's waiting on some sign from you that you are OK with the idea of dating him.

As for the emails, don't expect much. He's just a guy, they aren't the best with idle chit-chat when it's not in person. Phone calls and emails with them are usually short and to the point. It's not like a girl who can ramble on forever about nothing.

Yes. He's not just being polite. He likes you and he's trying to sound you out to make sure that you like him, too, before he does anything about it. He sounds shy, so if you want him to make a move, you'll have to give him some encouragement.
