Any surgery carries it's own set of risks and hazards. Discuss them with the surgeon before deciding to go ahead with any surgery. A good many insurance companies will pay for glasses before they will pay for lazer treatments. Primarily because glasses correct vision, lazer surgery tends to improve but doesn't always correct vision. As to cost, that seems to vary enormously from provider to provider. I've seen it as low as 150 dollars per eye for simple correction, and as high as 1,000 dollars for complicated procedures. Again, you need to discuss it with an eye surgeon, and then get a second opinion from a different eye surgeon before proceeding.

No it's not dangerous with the technology available today. The cost is approximately 2,300.00 for total and that's for both eyes. Private insurance will not pay diddly as this is deemed "elective" surgery. You'll have to fork it over yourself.
