Because almost every entry level position in the US which pays anything near a sufficient level requires a four year degree as a minimum qualification. Read the want ads and look at the requirements. That is reason enough. Another good reason is that college ends up being the best time of your life. My observation is that high school friends fade away but college friends are around for many years.
I would still go back to the first reason. Unless job you want includes the phrase" do you want fries with that?" you need the paper.

I probably had more fun each week in college than I have had each year since then.
The transition from childhood to adulthood does not occur overnight. College gives you a good place to make the transition.
It's a LOT easier to meet a boyfriend or gf in college than after.
There are many jobs that require a college education. Even if the job you want now doesn't require it, you might wish you had the diploma later. Many people change jobs at some point during life, so by graduating from college you make yourself qualified for more jobs in the future.
If you are educated, you won't make the embarrassing mistake that sokker made; it's peon, not pee-on

1. The more education you get, the more money you may earn in your life.
2. You get to experience new things and meet new people.
3. Many colleges offer perks such as very low cost health services.
4. If you decide what you want to be, then you receive valuable training for that job.
5. You find out that many of the things you thought were important aren't, so you mature somewhat.
6. If you are into it, you can party your butt off and meet many people your age to date or whatever.
7. Walking across the stage with the diploma is such a thrill.

A cool reason to go to college is, you might not have to worry about getting a job yet. You can continue mooching off your parents and you still get summer vacation!
The more important reason to go is to get a better education. It may be boring but it could really pay off. There are a lot more jobs out there for people with a college education... Hey it beats being a cashier, right?
Also it's a great way to make new friends.

College was the best time I ever had- I went to UCSanta Barbara for 4 years. I lived on the water with my best friends. After college I landed a great job in the fashion industry because I had gone to college. Most jobs don't even consider you if you do not have a college education. Its worth the investment for future, education, and the best years of your life.

If you want to get a job that will pay for your food, clothing, housing, cell phone, cable TV, car, gas, insurance, medical care, dental care, going to the movies, buying CD's etc, then you need to go to college. Without a college education, the jobs you can get will allow you to just scrape by each month. No fun at all!!

My job now pays well for no education, and I've been here for 3 years now. When I graduate, my starting salary will be $4 more that what I'm making now after 3 yrs on the job and annual pay raises. Plus I won't be in the pee-on dept. anymore. And I'll have credentials, and abbreviations next to my name, whoopee :)

I'm in college now so I can get the education needed to get a decent career. I'm here for the experience of college. And because it's away from home.

If you need to ask us for reasons to go to college, you are probably better off getting a job and saving money for a time when you are ready to go back to school.
