I never worked in the fashion industry, but always dreamed about it for years. I feel if I don't pursue it now, I never will. My girlfriend always says this is a ridiculous idea, that I'm too old to pursue it and that it's just a stupid dream, much better left to younger people. She even says the idea of finding work in Europe is nearly impossible and that it's just as crazy to think about making connections in the fashion industry (especially in places like Paris or Milan)...but I can't stop feeling passion for what I always wanted to do in life. I have no kids, and studied design, illustration and textiles, and got a fine arts degree, so I'm not clueless about the field or about art. I don't know what to do.

If you have that much passion go for it!! Don't let anyone especially a girlfriend get in the way of your dreams!! You have nothing to lose unless you consider your dream stompping girlfriend. There's more fish in the sea!! More power to you, Grab your passion and ride.

NO I DONT THINK ITS STUPID AT ALL. YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND ALSO DO WHAT YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE AT DOING. IF NOT YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY.
