Islam wants peace as badly as we do. The problem is, they want to kill us to achieve that peace. Muhammad / The Muslim religion teaches that an infidel (that's you and me) can either be converted, or he can be made a slave, or he is to be killed.
So, Muslims do want peace, so long as the rest of us are either their slaves, or dead. Then there can be peace.

Please try to keep things in perspective. I'm Catholic, but I can easily see why SOME Muslims went nuts over what the Pope chose to quote. The only Muslims who react violently are same type of people that harbor an "us vs. them" mentality. We both know these people are not unique to ANY religion.
Look at the Branch Davidians, who followed a branch of "Christianity" under the influence of a mental defect named David Koresh. He appealed to naturally rebellious and inherently violent people who never grasped the true nature of Christianity. When they felt they were being persecuted, they reacted in a militant fashion, which in THEIR eyes was purely self-defense. They died needlessly, all because some psycho convinced them that God was on their side.
The Muslims who choose to use violence, threats, and even murder when percieve a "personal" attack are for whatever reason unable or unwilling to embrace the core teachings of their faith.
Anyone can pervert religion to suit their own psychoses, which is what organizations like Al-Queda are all about. They use Islam as a security blanket to justify their violent tendencies, just as the KKK use their warped interpretation of the words in the Bible to justify lynch mobs, cross burnings, and other hate crimes.
The problem isn't their religion. The problem is what happens when a psycho finds an excuse to express their naturally violent tendencies. I think you'll find that the animals who reacted so extremely to the Pope's words are a much rarer breed than you might have previously imagined. Leave it to the media to show you a few isolated yet horrific incidents, and they can make it seem as if everyone from a certain group acts the same way.
Peace

Indirectly? right ... so if I called your mother a whore and should clean her act up and earn money in a more prodctive and respectable manner.
And then said no I was just saying if she was a whore cos some weirdo sexist had called her a whore in the past?
That is not indirectly saying that's an insult and the pope knew what he was doing, he may be old but he's still got a brain, get real, and the media don't help either, most muslims are not suicide bombers etc, if muslims were they would not be the fastest growing religion in the world neither would they be so large in number.
People have no respect nowadays, and no I did not call your mother a whore, a female who is able to bring life into the world should be respected with the greatest honour, for that matter any potential mother, be it in body or mind.

We should not allow the anger bubbling up from a growing section of Islam. Rather we should do as all religions ask, and that is to give honest thought, and ask for dialog.
We can study the past (history - good & bad), present (current events), and make projections into the future (prophesice). Certainly, it is not good to be blind and ignore their discontent. However, we should not be provoked by their ignorance. Yes, I call it ignorance because the Pope's writing was to call for peace and an end to violence. The contex of his historical remarks are small and do not reflect his entire speech.
It was my impression that Muslims hate it when non-Muslims pull out sections of the Koran and take it out of context ... for the most part, the majority of the Muslims do adhore this. However, it's the rebells that we need to keep our eyes on and make peace with decesions we WILL have to make in the future.

Islam is defending against Israelis.
Don't involve Christians, because Christians get alone well with Muslims even if others want to divide them.

Islam is false peace. It is poison coated with candy.
If it is a religion of peace its followers will not be warlike and always on a murderous spree.
They always talk of Jihad. How can war be holy? Is killing other people Holy?
Christ said, "He who says, he loves God but hates his brother or neighbor is a liar. And Satan is the father of all lies."

They're portrayed as wanting war by the Jewish-run press. Jews consider Muslims natural-born nemeses.
