Yes.

Intelligent Design debates, anti-abortion sentiments, wanting to get prayer back into schools, trying to put creationism in the classrooms, banning stem-cell research, anti same-sex marriage sentiments... all in the name of ignorance.

Perhaps, unfortunately there's an economical benefit for the current administration to manipulate people's personal faith into giving up the REAL freedoms that defined this country and made it the great place it once was.

It's turning into Medieval style Catholicism, which was pretty much fascism thinly veiled by religion in order to keep the masses poor and uneducated and the elites rich and fat.

Kinda. I know we're supposed to have freedom of religion, yet we are still being persecuted for our beliefs if they are non-christian.
Persecution instead of tolerance.
Missouri just proclaimed Christianity as the state's religion.
Kinda crazy when you think about it, huh?
I (being raised southern baptist) understand their view, but also think everybody should be a little more tolerant of other people's right to religion, no matter what religion you are. That doesn't mean they have to like it, but the animosity towards other opinions need to go.

I don't know how anyone could not believe this since the Christian Zionists, Christian Identity and all their fellow travelers are not shy about declaring their intentions to create a theocracy.

If they are, they're doing a poor job. America's actions rarely are in line with Chrisitan values. America can't even take care of its own poor or homeless. That's not very Christian. War isn't a Christian attribute either.

Even if we wanted that, we are often strong patriots who believe in the freedoms offered by the Bill of Rights.

ABSOLUTELY. It's a concept called "Christian Dominionism" or "Christian Reconstructivism." Google those terms and see what you get.

Very much so. And there seems to be no way to stop them. Not even our own constitution can save us.

Hardly...but I wish. America is abandoning it's Christian Heritage which made us so great. We are blessed because of it and now we are leaving it and our great nation is in danger of falling apart.
