I like wine a lot. Ive even made my own. Im just wanting to know if anyone knows any good cheap wine. I only like Reds and Chardonnays. I like the fox horn ok but does anyone know of any other kind that is under 12 for a pretty big bottle.

One of the best and less expensive reds - a real bargain for the taste is named "Blackstone". Specifically the Merlot.

One of the better Chardonnay's - again, that tastes excellent and is less expensive is "Clos du Bois" pronounced "Clowe de B-wa".

And for a big jug, the best table wine is one named "Paisano" - I can't remember the maker, "Carlos" something... Anyway, my grandfather, who is straight from Italy loves it for everyday dinners... with his homemade Italian food. And I've served it to friends who seemed to really like it. It tastes even better with a little bit of plain ol' Sparkling/Soda water.

P.S. - all the other women who are posting replies have also given good wine advice.

I don't know whether you want a dry, sweet or medium wine. If you want something with a great burst of flavor, not too sweet and not too dry, try Riunite Lambrusco. It is really good, and around $8.00 for a big bottle. Try it, you'll like it. It also tastes better chilled, unlike a lot of the dryer wines.

An excellent, low cost Red is Bighouse Red from Bonny Doon (Ca del solo). I get it at Cost Plus, around $10.

Another is heart of Darkness from Bonny Doon, around $15.

My favorite Chardonnay to date is one I get locally called wooden valley. I think it's $11.

Reunite Lambrusco. Or have you ever tried the box wines? I love wine too and the red i prefer mostly sweet or semi sweet. There is one i particularly like Charrible or sumtin like that. I can only tell by the box.

I really like and have gotten rave reviews for "Barefoot" Merlot and it's $4.99 for a regular bottle, $9.99 for the big bottle. Check out Turning leaf Merlot, Beringer Merlot, Woodbridge Merlot, Yellow Tail Merlot/Chardonnay... Enjoy!
