Because islamic terrorists make the most noise about how they're doing it for their "righteous" god. They're the ones bringing their religion into it.

I think there are some striking differences between the organizations.

KKK -- 1) pretty much defunct
2) never demanded those outside their culture conform

IRA -- 1) no longer actively killing and terrorising
2) never demanded those outside their culture conform

Al-Qaeda 1) pretty much actively killing
2) don't care whether you are a part of their culture or
not. They will bring their culture to you. Their
goal is to create a world wide radical Islamic state.

So compare them all you want but I am sure that radical Islam is the greatest threat to civilization that has EVER been seen on this earth.

We must all join together to oppose radical Islam. Otherwise, we may find that Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists will have much more in common than we think. Our grandchildren may find themselves holding hands in the public square as they are forced to kneel with a gun to their heads and declare allegiance to Islam or die.

Just don't think that either of the two other "terrorist" organizations you mentioned would have a desire to do that.

Although Al Qaeda, the KKK, and the IRA are all terrorist groups, they have all rejected the basic doctrines of their faiths.

Al Qaeda terrorists have rejected Islamic teachings.
KKK terrorists have rejected Protestant Christian teachings.
IRA terrorists have rejected Catholic Christian teachings.

It is an injustice to these religions to apply their names to terrorists.

With love in Christ.

IRA stands for "Irish Republican Army." Where is the reference to Catholicism?

Besides, members of the IRA are motivated by politics, not theology. One does not have to be Catholic to become a member of the IRA.

Members of the KKK are motivated by racism, not theology. Membership in the KKK is not exclusively Protestant.

Members of al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, among others, are all motivated by their religous zeal. The members of these groups are all motivated by a common zeal - and that zeal has everything to do with their religion.

That is why it is proper to call them "Islamic" terrorists.

They were, that is true and eveyrone said so.

Since the late 1990s, however, they reached a truce and accord and haven't practised terrorism since then.

Why can't Islam learn from this example that is is better to sit down at a table, talk, negociate, play politics and live peacefully!

They can start with the Iranain Nuclear program.

If it is really peaceful they should have no problems with inspections!

Why is it they have a problem with inspections and other countries don't!

I heard this on the same news program you probably did last night.
You might have noticed some terrorists say they murder for Islam. Therefore they label themselves as such, which is the reason.
I don't think it's a good thing though, out of respect for the peaceful, God loving people of the faith.

A terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist.

Check out Wiki for the different terrorist groups (All religions).
"Religious Terrorists
Religious terrorism is a form of religious violence. As with other forms of terrorism, there is no real consensus as to its definition. Groups are frequently classified as practitioners of religious terrorism for any one of the following reasons:

The group itself is defined by religion rather than by other factors (such as ideology or ethnicity).
Religion plays some part in defining or determining the objectives or methods of the group.
The ultimate objective of the group is religiously defined.
Controversy concerning classification is often found because:

Religion and ethnicity frequently coincide. Ethnic conflict may thus appear as religious, or religious conflict may appear as ethnic.
Religious groups, like other groups, frequently pursue political goals. In such cases it is often not clear which is uppermost, the political goal or the religious motivation.
Groups which have used principal religious motives for their terrorist acts and were deemed as such by supranational organizations and governments are listed here in alphabetical order by religion."
