I need help with ideas on raising money. I have no idea how. I am a poet; but I have trouble getting my work to sell and I am short on time that is needed to promote it. I have very limited time since I am in college. But I need extra funds. I can't sell my college books since they are multiple semester use books. Anybody have any ideas on getting money? Scholarships are not what I am looking for. I need this money to support myself not pay for school. Help!

Thanks but no thanks. I have no time. I am a full time college student and I am having a hard time making ends meet. Between going to class, studying, and working the job I already have I have no extra time. Besides I have somewhere to live and I dislike little children.

That's why I am looking for ways to make more money. To pay off my debt. I am a proud graduate of Finacial Peace University. I attended every session am I am trying to pay off debt by making extra money, Thanks for the suggestion though.

Oh and poetry is not my main income. I work a regular job. I just wanted to know if anyone knew of a way to make money off my HOBBY of poetry. Thanks

Charis , You need to visit DaveRamsey.com to understand cash flow real world. In real world poets Don't make money for a decade or two sorry reality is what it is .
Now if you can sell as songs your poems , you may shorten it to ten years.
Suggest '48days to work/job you love' and 'What color is you parachute' Read them understand and act on them.
Try a book ' Guerrilla Marketing' for ideas on getting your name out. A poet or author who does not market is real thin.
Get a job so you can have real money.

if you are a poet i can help you .... ill give you a website for free , web hosting for free .. you write all your poems there and then advertise your books for sale from that website ...
if you know love poems then you can write about it here http://www.lovethingy.com and contact the webmaster and let him advertise your books too there ..
you can display some of your works then after that you can sale more books ..it should be original ...
