What is DDR? The most successful diet I have been on...and I have tried a lot...is Weight Watchers Point System. It's been great and doesn't feel like a diet. It just more trains you on correct portion sizes.

I haven't but anytime you burn a lot of calories on a regular basis you'll probably lose weight. DDR seems like a fun way to try! I'm assuming DDR is Dance Dance Revolution?

it's an excellent cardio routine and it's tons of fun to do! i lost 20 pounds in 3 weeks just from playing ddr, and the funny thing is back at that time i wasn't even paying attention, i just moved down 2 sizes and then sadi "Hey, I lost alot of weight, Sweet!" Along with the awesome cardio and tons of fun, you get nice coordination skills and get all together better at the game! After 3 months on the game I entered a competition in Ann Arbor and placed 2nd! DDR isn't just fun, it can turn out to be a lifstyle! lol!

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

I think if you see results then that's a sign. Also, if you are sweating. Your heart rate doesn't have to be too high to burn fat. Mine only has to be at 132-138 for me to burn fat. I am 5'5 and weigh 125.
If you are eating healthy too, then you'll see results.
I sw that you asked a similar question earlier.
Just go at whatever pace you'd like. As long as you aren't having troubles breathing, then any pace is good.

whats ddr?
lost it from a balanced atkins diet & not putting more on when i stopped - worked well for me - didnt eat much meat anyway - so not much to rot inside!
losing it by eating sensibly & going out for short brisk walks with partner - i.e. lots of fruit, oat biscuits & tuna, steamed veg with chicken or fish fried onions & mushies with tinned fruit in juice - not syrup and snack a jacks when still got munchies..... things going ok so far. lost 17lb in 11/12wks.

A lot depends on how involved and energetic you are.
Arm work can dramatically increase your heart rate
