It doesnt make you an athiest right? What does it make you? What if you dont go to church because you think it is nuts, think the bible is a sham, but do believe there is a god are thankful for him? What if you think that God probably thinks that people misrepresent him with the bible and preaching?

To believe in God is commendable, but it is not simply acknowledging His existence that provides meaning in life. We must behave in a way that pleases Him. How are we to worship Him? If there is a God, then how are we to live? What is the purpose of life? These are all questions that the bible answers. Before you tune me out because I said Bible, think of how we can know this God you believe in if we have no revelation of what He expects of us. I'd be happy to talk to you about why I believe the Bible is God's Word. God Bless you.

You must realise that 'religion' is not God!Religion is religion,and God is God.
God has His own character and way of doing things.God will not change His character no matter what theologian,even Christian,or Muslim say.
You are better of flowing with His way of doing things.He sent Jesus Christ as the only option to save you from eternal torment.If He says Go to church,better go.

I believe in God with all my heart my soul and my mind, I do not practise any religion, my relationship with God is personal and I plan to keep it that way, you do not need religion to have a relationship with God.

It just makes you a believer in God, but not religion. My uncle is like that, believes in a higher power, but not in religion.
