I meant to ask. I have a muslim friend from
Kashmir in India and I would like to say goodbye in his language

Assalaam-O-Alaikum. It is the same greeting as when you meet someone. Sometimes in parting the phrase Khoda Hafiz is also used. They simply translate into: Peace and blessings be with you.
Look at the insolent ignars above me who are too stupid to even know how to greet someone in simple English!!!

People who practise Islam usually learn original language in which the religious book is written, so that they themselves can read it and understand and interpret it.
Most common departing salutation is "Khuda Hafiz".
It means God be with you.
Spanish people who mainly practise Christianity use Pia condios(not sure of spelling) My God be with you.
A very similar "God Speed" was use by Eisenover when he send ailed troops off, across British Channel at Dunkirk on "D" day.

the same as you greet a person with blessing, so the customary Assalaamu alaikum, some people spell it differently.
However some cultures say something different, like the indian subcontinent usually say Khuda Hafiz or Allah Hafiz, has the same intention.

ok.. Islam is not a language.. but the language of Islam is arabic, and goodbye = ma'a al-salaama in arabic.

Islam covers a good many countries. Which language do you want it in?
In Turkey it is 'bye-bye' or gorushurus (see you) or Gule-gule (go with a smile).

Salaam is a universal greeting, roughly translated it menas "peace" (just like Shalom in Hebrew)
