No matter where you work you should always strive to better yourself! Take some classes, develop some more marketable skills and see what else is out there!

I worked at Wal-Mart for 10 years and was even as high up as a manager. I have not worked for them in over a year and so far my life has been a lot less stressful. Believe it or not, I actually liked working there but had to quit because my father got sick. SInce i have left the company, a lot of things have happened to them and it seems like the company finally went to the peak and it now on the way downhill. They have recently had a lot of bad publicity and that is usually a sign of a company struggling to keep their image. I woudl recommend trying an office job or something. If you want to stay in retail, I have heard some of the managers I worked with say that when they grow up, they want to work for Target (LOL)

What are your skills? What is your level of education? Do you have experience in another field, besides retail?

If your answers are: None, dropped out or GED, and NO... chances are you aren't employable in anything but a Wal Mart type retail job.

Depends where you live at. Wal-Mart is a good place to work, unless you want to make more money. Good Luck.

You didn't say whether or not you like your job. You also didn't mention any skills or education you may have. Are you happy at Wal-Mart and does it pay your bills?

Depends on what is important to you. Do you like the people you work with? Are you being treated well? Are you getting paid enough money to support your lifestyle? I always ask myself what do I want to be doing in 5 years from now and think about how to advance my career toward that goal.

Walmart is a good paying job, so if you don't have a college education, you really should stay there. If you want something new, go apply, and ask about the pay, before quitting your job.

If you are a checker or cashier, a lot of places could use your abilities. Grocery stores, gift shops, restaurants, car service centers, retails stores...
