It is not about being right or proving points. It is about loving you enough to tell you the truth. If we didn't care we would just say I'm going to heaven and your not and go on with our lives.

Also, do you think millions of Christians across the world are just brainwashed?

To unbelievers it's just foolishness.
Don't stop conveying His message.

Guess what? I'm an ex-Christian, and I am SURE that millions of Christians - and other religious people - around the world are completely and totally brainwashed.

And you know what? I care too. It hurts me to see what I used to do in the name of some fictional being in the sky. So if I tell you there is no God, I'm just loving you enough to tell the truth.

Would you want Pagans to constantly tell you that Dionysus died for your sins (and he did) and that you aren't going to your heaven, but to Hades, where the god Hades is going to torment you because you didn't believe in Dionysus. Dionysus is older than any story of Jesus, had 12 disciples that followed him around and later taught what Dionysus gave them, his first miracle was turning water into wine at a wedding, he also walked on water. Now, I tell you this out of love. It's not that I don't care about you, but you should know the Absolute Truth. Dionysus died for you sins before Jesus was ever born.

Doesn't that sound downright condescending? and Arrogant? Doesn't that put you, your beliefs and your personal feelings for your beliefs down? Even though I didn't say anything bad about your beliefs, or even said your beliefs are wrong. I just stated that mine are absolutely right, leaving no room for even a discussion on it. How would you handle people constantly telling you that and then adding "I love you". You may as well slap the s.hit out of people rather than say "I love you".

I believe everyone believes their beliefs are right. Though, it seems, only mainstream religions push it to the point that the leave out Everything else without even looking at it.

Yes I think they are brainwashed - if you keep telling someone something over and over again, the weak minded will start to believe it (not talking about present day people but people back in the day) Then it got "stronger" as years went by so people think it is true nowadays

If you care, ask about how MY life is, ask if I'm happy with my family, how my depressed friend is, is my dog sick. THAT shows that you care! Telling me I'm going to Burn In Hell Doesn't show you care, it shows that you think better of yourself than others cause you are "saved"

Do you realize that I don't? Seriously, listening to your religious rhetoric all day makes my brain hurt, it's like a drill of stupidity boring into my skull.
And as far as Christians being brainwashed. Do you think that every member of every other religion around the world. Every other religion that contradicts yours, is also right?

First, no I don't think millions of Christians are just brainwashed. Just as I don't think millions of Muslims are brainwashed or millions of Jews are brainwashed. And I'm so sick of this patronizing and condescending attitude of Christians who say "we love you" or "we're just trying to help you" as though anyone who doesn't believe as they do are stupid and misguided. How insulting! Here's deal I'll make with you: I won't try to get you to convert to Judaism if you won't try to get me to convert to Christianity. Live and let live!

I love you enough to wish you would shake of this delusion you have that there is an invisible friend out there who cares for you and who will look after you in paradise for eternity after you die.It is stunting your development. But if you stop bothering me about your own brand of madness, I'm happy to leave you to it.

Thank you for caring. I know where I'm going and it's called Summerland or Yesad. What will you do if we see each other in my Summerland and your Heaven? Will we then know the TRUTH? I say yes.

Yes, but it comes off obnoxious.

Say you're enjoying a rich dessert, and I come up and talk to you about your health, and the health risks of fat and sugar, and give you brochures about diabetes and heart disease. My motivations may be caring, but would you like me very much? I bet you wouldn't.

(Incidentally, that's just a hypothetical. I love my desserts!)

Oh, is that what it is? I was wondering why its such a big deal if someone doesnt believe the same thing as you. I was also wondering why you cant just say, Im going to heaven and your not and get on with your lives. Thanks for clearing that up.
