Depends on the extent of the surgery. I've had 5 back surgeries. The last one was the result of infection where my spine had to be rebuild from my ribs. I was in the hospital 3 months - total cost $1,300,000.00.

It depends on the doctor and anesthesiologist, etc. Mine cost over $10,000 dollars but I had insurance and that was 10 years ago. If you don't have insurance most hospital demand over half of the cost up front before they will even perform the surgery unless it is life threatening.
