There are many here claiming that gays can't be Christians. Christ came to help primarily the worst of us. I'M NOT SAYING GAYS ARE THE WORST OF US. They're no better or worse than anyone else. We all sin. This claim that gays can't be Christians only shows the general lack of knowledge of what Christianity is all about. We're to love one another and repent to God. What goes on between us and God is our business. So, if we choose to follow Christ even though we continue to sin (and we all do), we are no less Christians. The defining factor is that we are trying to sin no more. That's hard and nearly impossible. Christ Himself said so.
This would give gay Christians much more to struggle with than the rest of us. It would make thier love for Christ incredibly beautiful to behold. Do you agree, disagree or just totally not believe what I'm poin

The Bible does say that God dislikes the lives that gay men and women are leading, but it also says that He dislikes many, many other things. He dislikes it when I think something evil just as much as he dislikes someone who murders or commits adultery.

Even though God dislikes sin, He offers us all salvation from them through His grace and Jesus Christ.

I hate when people ignore the question and just start spouting off their own beliefs. Way to avoid the subject people.

That's a very insightful statment. Character is formed in the struggle of life; character is demonstrated in how we live life when we are not struggling. I do believe that God has a special value for those who continually turn to him in the struggle, as many of us who struggle with various temptations or homosexual impulses do.
Jesus always gravitated to the lowly, the outcast, the demonized..... No one is beneath his interest. The ones he really spoke harshly to were the religious people (and his own disciples). We really should be careful how we speak to hurting people: these are the very ones he came to save.
Hoping the best for you...

The problem comes in when , any of us choose a lifestyle of willful sin. I was a drunk for 25 years before being saved, through Jesus Christ I was both saved and healed, I no longer live that lifestyle.
I know of some in the church who were gay and felt compelled to follow God and change their lifestyle.
Judging by the thumbs down, there are many that don't like the truth, well, it's still the truth.
We are worth a Son to God.

Why would it be hard for non-christians to believe that? Most non-christians Accept homosexuals as they are. It's the other Christians who don't accept a homosexual into their elitist religion. Those type of people expect perfection from everyone else, yet sit back and calmly say "i'm forgiven" when they sin.

It is not the abomination of the sin of the homosexual act that keeps most all homosexuals from God... it is that they do not want to come to God as He proscribes...they want to make up their own rules... Repentance is a component of The Way God proscribes for all to come to him. And repentance means also an honest desire to change... most homosexuals do not want to do this...they want to "get saved" but keep the full intention of continuing in the abomination that God will not accept... That is not true repentence.
ALL who come to God in The Way He proscribes will be forgiven and receive His free gift of Salvation.

When they were about to stone the adulterous woman. Jesus said He who is without sin cast the first stone. Everyone walked away. Jesus said did no one condemn you? She said no. He said neither do I. GO AND SIN NO MORE.
Why did He tell her to sin no more if it was impossible.
There is a difference in sinning and living in sin. Don't you think it's a slap in the face to God if you sin over and over never repenting(turning away). Living the lifestyle of a sinner.
Don't take advantage of God's grace.
You know it's wrong. God said it is an abomination to Him.
Love in Jesus' name

We are to love them, but hate their sin. God says that no flesh (sin) will glory in His presence. Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, "Go and sin no more." If it were not a possible thing to do He would not have said so. We are to overcome our mortal flesh and forsake this world. I do understand your point, but most homosexual Christians condone their actions and do not believe them to be sinful.

Yes , its true most of us, believer or not, we are not perfect in following Christ.
But I am sure you agree that , no matter what you do, or who you are, the bottom line is, at the judgement day, we all have to answer the same question.
"Are we clean enough to enter to Gods Kingdom?".

i'm an atheist and discover the belief of 'sin' a wierd one. i think of that we could desire to constantly stay our lives doing the final we are able to to no longer harm others - bodily and emotionally. an incredible type of of those so referred to as 'sins' are widely used, organic areas of human existence. intercourse is on of the main undemanding human drives, yet religions attaches sin and guilt to it. undesirable language isn't a sin, in simple terms an evolution of language - many words that have been as quickly as thought 'undesirable' are actually thoroughly acceptable in any business enterprise and a few words that are frowned upon now are modifications of older languages like Latin. all of us have a temper, and that's healthful to precise it as long as you're no longer hurting yet another interior the approach. Why are christians so hung up approximately sin - stay a stable existence, do no longer deny your organic impulses. Sins have been in user-friendly terms a approach thought up with the aid of church homes to regulate habit - the undemanding carrot and stick strategies-set - in case you sin you will visit hell, in case you do no longer sin you will visit heaven. So i do no longer warfare with sin - i'm respectful of human beings (and animals, we are, after-all, a species of animal too) and function a happy existence freed from sin-led to guilt.
