http://www.annualcreditreport.com

This site is TOTALLY FREE -- won't even ask for your credit card like the so called free site freecreditreport.com (avoid that site). You are entitled to 1 free credit report from annualcreditreport.com

depending on the state, you get 1 free credit report from each of the 3 main credit bureaus (Transunion, Equifax and Experian). You can go on their website and there should be a link or info about a free report once a year.

AnnualCreditReport.com is the only site that is truely free!
Don't go to FreeCreditReport.com or similar sites as they will ask for credit card information. AnnualCreditReport.com will not ask for this information nor will it require you to sign up for services you don't want, just to get a 'free' report.
This site allows you to get 1 report per bureau, every 12 months.

I don't think so. I know you can pay £3 or something for one. Or if you sign up with payplan a free debt management agency they have (last time I knew of) a deal with experian and you get a free report.
