You don't need one. And no cheesy lines either. You don't want him to start laughing at you. Just do this: Find something he is wearing or in the environment you're in to start the conversation like, "Nice shirt. Where did you get it?". As the small talk progresses, say, "My name is ___. What's yours?" And don't forget to do two things that will break through anything: Smile and look into his eyes.

Good luck.

The most creative way to deal with your problem is to eliminate this problem in such a way that it becomes no problem for you at all.

You can find in the Yellow Pages commercial dating agencies that often let women join for free. They help men and women find a good match for each other before any dating begins. And of course once you go out on a date with a guy who already likes you, then talking with him won't be any problem at all.

Why not try honesty? Just approach him and tell him what you want in a relationship from him; he will tell you if he is available and interested. As a man, It would be refreshing if all women used this approach as many people stay alone for lack of courage or fear of rejection. A rejection of your offer is no reflection on you as person:People want what they want. Just be sure of what you want.....
