Mt 16:2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
Mt 16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

old fishing sailors used to refuse to go out during the day if there was a red sky in the morning because that indicated a storm is rolling in and red skys at night sailors delight was because that meant the storm was past and all the fish would be sturring from the rain so there would be a good catch.

"Red sky in morning sailors take warning, red sky at is to sailors delight."
