Of course it's not just you. Your sense of smell tells your taste buds what the smell may taste like, it's like a preview of what to expect, most people are this way.

No. Your nose and your sense of smell is a very strong part of you. Your nose sends signals to your brain. Positive or negative, everything else will follow.

Just like spoiled milk. You smell it, its smells bad, you have that instinct not to drink it. Same equation here.

I am usually the same way.

Smell effects taste so it stands to reason that if you can't stand the smell of something you're more than likely not going to appreciate the taste either. Most people don't care for foods based on texture as well as smell.

So relax... you just confirmed that you're human!

Your sense of smell helps you to determine what to eat. You don't need to get past it, use it to make sure you don't eat something bad for you.

No we first begin to *eat* with our brains. We think about a food or a meal and have certain expectations. Next comes smell and if it is not appealing or not what we want then it is nearly impossible to eat it.

You are okay hon, don't sweat it.

That's the reason we have a sense of smell. If it doesn't smell good, don't eat it. It may be spoiled. Or you may have a reaction to it.
It isn't just you.

No, your smell is directly associated with your taste buds. Why do you think so many people hold their nose when having to drink something nasty???

No. I am the same way. Smell does affect how something will taste and if you think its stinks, it wont taste good.

No, not at all. If the smell doesn't appeal to you, the taste probably won't either.
