I imagine you are referring to the fact that if they are illegally in the US how are they allowed to marry a US citizen since they werent supposed to be here to begin with . am I right?
Something to remember. Just because an AMerican citizen is a citizen doesnt mean that they spend all their time in the US and not travel. So whos to say that while traveling that the two met and fell in love and the US citizen decides to marry the person. The person would only be an illegal immigrant if they were in the US but alot of the immigrants or future husbands or wives are still in the original country. Some are given 90 day passes to enter the US to get married so they really arent illegal immigrants since they have legal permission to be in the STates but must marry within the 90 days and must continue on with the legalization process. Just because they have been married and even if they have children together is not always a guaruntee that they will get their resident papers. This recently happened to a person that I know. She had a kid from some guy and they got his papers for the 90 days and got married but later it was decided that he was not to recieve residental status and had to return to where he came from. You have to look at it this way anything in this life is possible if you know how to go about doing it. And you can marry anyone you want. People do it all the time. Have you not seen girls marry even Americans that have turned out to be worthless good for nothing husbands? There is good and bad in every race , in every country , in every sex , at every age. Just because someone is from another country doesnt mean that they will turn out bad and just because someone is from the same country as you that they will turn out good. Think about it.

One does not choose who we fall in love with. There are immigration laws that enable us to marry people from other countries and through us obtain legal status in this country therefore, keeping the family together.

I guess they would have to come up w/ a story that they met on vacation. For example if an american went to mexico, met someone... kept in touch.. mexican came for "vacation" and got married.. i would imagine that's how they pull that off... They have to come up w/ some crazy story... in some cases, it can be love, but I've heard of illegals paying americans, for them to get married so the illegal would gets is papers...
