If you were fired, you can collect unemployment. If you quit, you cannot.

you can't receive unemployment if you left on your own to go back to school. You get unemployment if you were fired or laid off. In some cases if the enviornment you worked in was hostile or hard to work in, they might extended some unemployment benefits. But there are no unemployment benefits given if you leave a job to go back to school.

It dependson what state you live in. In Indiana you have to have been fired from your job and have been working at the position for over a year. Also, you are required to check in periodically with a list of places that you have applied to work. this may not help you in your plan but it is ow things work in most states.

you only get that if you are fired for a no good reason or layed off not because you quit

I don't think you can, if you left voluntarily and your employer did not lay you off.
