The room gets way to cold with door closed, and my kid LOVES her princess canopy. It is sagging and wrecking.

I have tried aluminun foil, and when I catch the cat a spray bottle. I can't stand there with a spray bottle all day

Cats like to go to high places in the house. Try making a place up high for the cat to hang out at. There are static mats that you could put up there that would startle him enough to keep him off the canopy. Try Drs Foster & Smith they have an online store that has these mats available. They're called scat mats, are battery operated and cost about $70. Go under cat supplies and then to training, you will find all kinds of things there.

you can get something at your local pet store.. it seems that cats don't like the smell of citrus... so spray some on the area's that you find the cat in and that should keep it away from the canopy.

Cats hate the smell of lemon, citrus or bitter apple, you can buy a spray in any of these three scents at most pet stores.

I believe there is a spray that you can purchase at the pet store that has an offensive odor only to cats, that will effectively repel them safely.

have you tried double stick tape along the area where the cat is getting on it? We used that along with soda cans filled with washers (rattly noise) to keep our cats off the refrigerator.

My daughter uses a "spy kit" motion detector to keep her brother out of her room - it detects when someone or something breaks the light beam and sets off a terrible alarm. If your cat is afraid of loud noises, one of those might work.

Try giving your cat a more interesting alternative place to sleep - like a cat tree.

Well if you dont want to close the door you can block the door with something so the cat can not enter a fan that is low to the floor may work b/c cats can not stad fans and would not walk next to one.or maybe you should close the windows to your daughters door and maybe close the door so it would not get cold
