Sound - a disturbance of mechanical energy that propagates through matter as a wave. Sound is characterized by the properties of sound waves which are frequency, wavelength, period, amplitude and velocity or speed.
In other words, it has nothing to do with who hears it. So yes, it does make a sound.

It doesn't make a sound. It is just the same with people, if somebody cheats, for example, on his girlfriend, and she never finds out, did he really cheat on her? I think not. And it stays that way for good.
