Why is it that today you have been overtaken in culture, power, and wealth by cultures in the West and East even though, centuries ago, you were the ones who were the strongest and most educated?
Is it because Muslims of today have become corrupted and must start following a more fundamentalist and dogmatic version of Islam?
Is it because false teachings create a backward and oppressed society?

Dear Brother
I will not agree with you on this because i dont think that we have been over taken in any thing. I think east and west have no culture at all no belongings they could follow now the new generation in East and west dont follow any religion at all so how can we be overtaken in that and about the power its only comes from unity and thats what our people and due to this i would agree with you that we are not that forward as we should have been .
As for Islam theres only one version of Islam and thats the one and only version one true Muslim follows and offcourse any false teaching in any society wether its Chiristian, jews etc will create a oppressed society .If people strictly follow the rules of Islam there would be right back at the top.

This is a very good question, however, we are called Muslims not Mohamaddans. The answer is not a secret, we are weak because we are not following Islam. Dictators loyal to the west play very important part. Mohammad PBUH once told his companions that in the future all nations of the world will rush to harm you as hungry eaters rush to eat a delicious food, the companions asked " is it because we will be just few in the future?" the prophet replied "no, you be very numerous but you will be worthless and weak."

Teachings of Islam are universal. If they were good once to make Muslims successful they can be useful again. Christians can not claim this as their success in world started after they seperate their religion from state affair. Islam teaches us that if we follow Allah's rule then we will be successful both here and on Judgement day. If someone chose to just follow world rules for success without belief in Allah, he will be rewarded for his hard work in world's life but no reward will be left for Judgement day. Allah does not do injustice to anyone weather they believe him or not. Rule is simple " What you sow today so shall you reap tommarrow". Your conclusion that Muslim countries became corrupted and lazy which led to their downfall is true. However, we see the same trend develop in west too. Markets and news are gradually filling up with goods and news from Asia. Everyday there is a new corruption scandel of some governament official and politician. So you are next. Welcome to our world !!

first of all don't call us Muhammadans. secondly why don't you learn a little more about religions because Pr. Musa aka Moses and Pr. Isa aka Jesus preached the same exact thing that Pr, Muhammad ASW preached. Read and educate yourself before putting your words out to show your ignorance. Furthermore who is the one that is corrupt? muslims? I think not. Look at the holy vatican my friend. A home for child rapists and a nazi. so who is backward and oppressed. It's not the muslims. we have more rights than any other religion. Do the research on it. It will do you some good.

They have become Mohammadans instead of being Muslims. Divided the religion into sects and follow all sorts of conjecture in the name of religion instead of following God's law they are more interested in following the laws of their so called Imams.
I always get thumbs down for saying the truth. Just simply analyze your religious beliefs which Sunnis Shias are following blindly and you will know that actually you are following the laws of Old Testament and New Testament not real Islam.
