He was at the Big Boy Restaurant in Mt Clemens and the T.V was on in the eating area. The big Marine was doing OK until the "Breaking News" came on about the insurgents tearing the Marines up and making them run in retreat. The Marine put down his food and started to cry like a baby. All he said before he "Boo Whoo'd" was "The war is wrong and we will lose like my daddy did in Vietnam." with that he put his head down on the table and all we could do was see his shoulders go up and down. Is this sad?

Let me see, this is twice now with the Marine and sucker story. Quit hanging out at the "big boy" and get a life. The only thing that's sad is that you exist.....have rights and freedoms.....because of the brave Marines that you find it so easy to bash each day. One day, you'll meet a real Marine face to face and I'm willing to bed you'd never say these things to them. That yellow streak on your back is too big to do that. Be glad you have your puter to hide behind. One day, dear Eruidite, your day will come. I wonder if you'll be able to answer for all the hatred that you hold toward the US, our president and to the military.

So whats your point ?? Marines and all other Armed forces are 'Human" like any other person...they feel and cry and even bleed for your silly a__!! This Marine was simply letting his emotions come out just like you would in same sutuation! Being in the military does harden you but it doesnt block out the levels of agony or pain completely! Ive seen Marines cry for fallen comrades and lost souls before....Im also one of the few ...the proud ...a ex-marine! The USMC wife is right you shouldve bought this guys lunch and maybe even hugged him....he more than likely had friends in that patrol or squad.....think before you write...feel the pains of War...its all around us!!

This Marine was a bigger man than most because he had the courage to have emotions. I would rather the world have more real men, like this Marine, than idiots such as yourself. This man was thinking about his buddies being in situations and dying while you sat there in your sanctimonious seat, all safe and sound and made fun of a man who may well have to face what you saw on TV. For shame! Before you judge this man, put on a military uniform and fight a war. THEN and only then will you have the right to sit in the judgment seat.
Bet you a hundred dollars, you'd be running as fast as your legs could carry you, in the opposite direction.

Marines are expected to be tough, strong and never let their emtions show. But they're people too. I'm guessing this particular Marine has been to Iraq and has seen his friends and fellow Marines die. It's terrible he has to go through it, but it's his job. It's what he signed up to do.
There's no shame in a Marine crying over his fallen comrades. They have feelings too.
You should have gotten up, thanked him for his service and then paid his bill for him. I know for a fact he would have a appricated a few kind words from a stranger.

I don't understand why this person got three negative ratings. Is this the same people who say they support troops too? Men cry, we are not made of stone. After what that soldiers been thru protecting our country and here you people are saying he's a cry baby, just ain't right.

those of us who served in Vietnam & Iraq, cry often, because we realized that our Government lied to all of us and cost the lives of our partners in uniform and that of the inocent on the other side for no real good reason, other than our leaders personal politics.

Yeah duh its sad. Well marines are tough but they cant hold all of there feelings in my step dad is a kernal in the marines and he had so many men die, and one night he just cracked and cried. Sometimes you cant be tough no more.
