Students in need of self sustaining the human resource for other students. We help with emergenies, rent, lights, food boxes, gas cards, bus fare etc. Need to raise money without selling, and putting alot of money forward. These are students going to a tech school and on very limited income. Any ideas I would deeply appreciate.

This is an idea my son read about and then started in his high school. It still goes on today 7 yrs later! Have school students make small bowls out of clay. Invite people to a simple dinner of soup and bread. A meal that would be served in a shelter. Let them take the bowls home with them. The money they pay for the dinner, is your profit. It is called an empty bowels dinner. It raises awareness to poor people and helps raise money too. I'm sure if you talked to an art teacher in your area about it, they would be willing to join with you and make it a big event. It teaches the children and helps people at the same time. The elementary school made the bowls and the dinner was held at the high school where the soups were made. The kids get a kick out of giving the bowls away too. Best of luck!

Raise money to throw pies at someone who ever raises the most gets to throw the pie...Also if you need food go to local mall and ask around in the food court if the have food they do not need. Usualy they will! because they have to get rid of food at a certian point (union rules or somthing.) But the food is still good they just can't keep it past a certian hour.

You can contact major corporations such as Nike, Puma, Calloway, McDonalds etc... and get donations from them. I was able to get gift certificates donated for my charity and then we held a raffle. You can also do a silent auction.

How about calling or contacting a media source such as tv news and asking viewers for money contributions and explain the cause

sell your time. You could be hiring out for yard work,cleaning windows,detailing cars etc
