Look, this is not about bashing any religion, or all religion. My question, clarified, is this: Suppose the one belief that you do not believe is actually correct... How do you break free of your old ideas long enough to be educated?

It is written, "I have much more to tell you, more than you can now bear. But when He, the spirit of truth comes..." "you are wrong about sin and judgement." We are wrong about sin and judgement. How deeply can that go? And if we have committed this wrongness into our deep belief system, how do we overcome our own objections?

Well you just have to be able to seriously consider the idea that everything you believe is wrong. A lot of people would rather not consider that because being wrong hasn't caused them any problems so far.

Read your Bible for yourself. Compare what it says with what you are being taught. Meditate on what each scripture tells you about God and the sort of person that he is. DO NOT REMAIN in any Church that teaches you things that you do not believe after reading God's word concerning it. Babylon the Great (the false religions of the world) will ALL be destroyed and you do not want to be destroyed with her.

you dont need to break free to educate yourself ... educate yourself whilst still holding your own beliefs .. take notes .. and when you have enough to convince you that you may or may not be wrong .. then act upon it in whatever way you must
you cant throw away a lifetime of belief in one go ... that is just too hard .. but little by little
any change is scary but change is good
