School in itself isn't boring. A lot of people love it. You get bored because you have no interest in what you are being taught for the most part..It gets better when you can choose what you want to learn. Hang in there.

I just heard the other day where they are thinking about reviewing the way subjects are now being taught..Why should you take College prep couses if you aren't going to College..If you are poor and your grades aren't good enough for a scholarship for instance,,you know you can't go....so maybe they will change it a bit in the future and let those who know they are going into blue collar jobs or Art or Music is their passion....maybe they will let them study what they really need to know..

My Mama used to say, "A fool who goes to college is just an educated fool when he gets out"...LOL Having said that,,,if you can afford to go, you should,

I left school almost 40 years ago and I still remember how boring it was... with the exception of three classes (two of which were in subjects I didn't really have any special interest or talent in at first)

Art was a subject I already liked, so the classes were never boring, even when the teachers were.

Physics was over my head, and History is famous for being dull, so both could easily have been as boring as a phone book, except I lucked out and had great teachers. What they did was first of all respect the fact that I had a brain and secondly they communicated in such a way as to find out what I was interested in and then sold the subject to me on that basis.

So, you can see that the whole thing boils down to being interested. School is boring when you are not interested.

Great teachers find ways to appeal to your natural sense of curiosity and interest. Most teachers simply haven't got enough of that talent (or don't really care.)

Since great teachers are rare, you've got two choices. Either suffer on through the rest of your years in school bored to tears, or do for yourself what those few great teachers are so good at: find something, anything, in each subject that has something to do with you and your life. Dig until you find something in it that is interesting.

It's better than staring out the window.

Because its constant, you do the same thing every day -day in, day out. But trust me on this, when you get out on your own you'll miss it, because instead of a productive and constant routine you have "Today is bill day? I don't have the money!!! An eviction notice? But I can't leave!" "Do I work today?" "My internet and electricity are disconnected." "My house is a mess and I'm sick and can't clean!" "What do you mean a frying pan cost $15???" "The heats not on, and its freezing outside!" etc etc, and soon you long for when everything was boring and the worse thing happening to you was an argument with a friend (which of course hurt like hell) or an "F"

Enjoy it while you can, if you let it get you down you'll end up like me, friends getting hit by huge trucks and in ICU for over 2 weeks, other friends dying from drug overdosing, in a small apartment with a very low income (afterall who wants to hire a high school drop out that's depressed?), lonely, not seeing friends more than 3 times a week- I hope you got the point.

It's the age that you are at even though you haven't stated how old you are I assume you are a teenager. Typical teenagers do think that school is boring because they would rather be hanging out with their freinds doing something fun. Once you become and adult you will see it differently. I too used to think school was boring. Now that my oldest is going to be entering 9th grade next year I don't see it that way anymore..... it actually seems interesting now.

School is not a form of entertainment. It is hard work. You have to take responsibility for your own education by doing the work and paying attention. If you think school is boring, wait until you see what it's like to hold a job.

Actually...school is simply designed to separate the "wheat from the chaff." Those who find school boring generally perform poorly. Those folks end up as janitors or maids. Those that do well in school are the ones who are able to use the toilets and stay at the hotels where the poor performing students work.

Hope this helps...and motivates you.

Enjoy school while you can, the real world isn't all its cracked up to be. I would much rather be sitting in a classroom, surrounded by my friends, then sitting here at a desk in a boring office answering phones and "working."

You should just be grateful you can go to school and get an education and that you're not stuck picking vegetables or working in a clothing factory to support your family. Quality free public education isn't normal everywhere in the world, so be happy for what you have and stop whining.

Because you don't pay attention and try to learn. If you were engaged in the subject it would be more interesting and time would pass more quickly. My guess is that you are thinking about what you are going to wear tomorrow or do that night instead of how you are going to spend the rest of your life. go ahead and waste your time in school. the world needs someone to sell gas and cigarettes at the 7-11.
