Parents are often strict out of love for thier children. Perhaps she is only trying to save you some of the mistakes she made as a girl, or is trying to protect you from the world.

Ask your mom about it. Open lines of communication and perhaps if you communicate better she will trust you more but you have to be trustworthy to keep that trust.

You may think your mom is overly strict now but very likely once you are older you will not only understand why but will thank her for raising you properly.

Mom's are strict b/c they want what's best for their children. Until I had my son I never knew how much my mom put up with dealing with me.. She worries and wonders what's going on in your life and she has the right to. If she's too strict than sit down with her and tell her " Mom, I have never done anything to make you not trust me .. why are you being so strict with me?" just calmly talk things out with her

Perhaps it's because you haven't the maturity and good sense to know what's good for you and what isn't. Maybe it's because you don't have enough foresight to see what the results of any actions you do may result in.
Of course, if you don't understand why your mother finds it necessary to "be strict" try looking at it as a learning experience. it's not hard to figure out why.
Once you move out and join the military...or get a good paying job and move...then you can assume total control of your life. That also means to accept responsibility for your actions. until then...live under Mom's roof...abide by Mom's law. If you do not contribute to the rent/mortagage, purchase your own clothes and incidentals, contribute to the utilities and the food bill then you my friend have no authority to buck the system.

What is she strict about? Everything? Have you given her any reason to be strict? Most moms are just looking out for their kids, if she seems strict, and you haven't given her reason not to trust you, ask her about it.

You aren't specific as to why your mother is strict. What does she do that makes you mad? Did she ground you for something you didn't do? You need to be more specific so people can give you a good answer.

Well, it really depends what you mean by 'strict'.

What does she do, or not let you do?

Maybe she just cares about you alot and she's protective? Or maybe she doesn't want you doing certain things.
