The mainly muslim terrorists seem to justify their acts of violence by what is written in their holy book, but is the underlying reason for terrorism jealousy? The reason for this jealousy being the wealth, technology and freedom gained by the west has all been achieved without their religion. Whereas development under muslim control has generally been slow and problematic.

Well the west slept ,payed a deaf year ,funded and suppiled weapons to pakistan assisting Taliban fighting Russia and later the guns turned against India 200,000 people died in India because of pakistani terrorism and we see a blast ,an attack twice a week in some part of India,but the west ignores them instead of uprooting the terrorist camps in pakistan the epi-centre of world terrorism they beg them and fight against iraq who are being made terrorists becoz of the situation , Mistakes are to be rectified not repeated.

Yes. Much of the hatred towards America stems from the jealousy of the rest of the world. Look at how many idiots you will see here who post questions like "Why don't Americans do more for the needy" or " Why don't Americans live within their means." I've even seen idiot posters complain about Americans having IPODs!!! ***** these jealous bums! They should all be exterminated!

No No No, it's been fueled by the Bush administration and thier policy of trying to change the thousends of years of the way other countries live and worship. In the past 6 years we have become the most hated country in the world because of our insistance on changing policies of other countries. You have to remember that some people are happy living under a dictator.

It's an attempt to turn the whole world into a theocracy. We're in the midst of a war and our media is afraid to offend the enemy. So we may very well loose to an enemy who doesn't care about offending other religions or killing brutally and indiscriminately.

Terrorism is fueled by hatred in my opinion. If their holy book teaches them hatred, They need to revise their book to teach love for one another. Not to kill innocent people in the name of God. This goes against the teachings of the Bible.

Actually...it's sibling jealousy...
It started with Abraham and Sarah. The living God of Abraham promised him a seed and his name would be Isaac.
Genesis17:15 Then God added, "Regarding Sarai, your wife--her name will no longer be Sarai; from now on you will call her Sarah.[c] 16 And I will bless her and give you a son from her! Yes, I will bless her richly, and she will become the mother of many nations. Kings will be among her descendants!"
17 Then Abraham bowed down to the ground, but he laughed to himself in disbelief. "How could I become a father at the age of one hundred?" he wondered. "Besides, Sarah is ninety; how could she have a baby?" 18 And Abraham said to God, "Yes, may Ishmael enjoy your special blessing!"

Really what it comes down too...is that Ishmael's descendants (Arabs - Muslims) want what belongs to Isaac (Jews).
The living God has blessed Ismael's descendents with most of the world's oil.
Now they want the world to convert to their religion...Islam
If you take the time to research their prophet, you will find with his history, he was violent (zero) tolerance.
BTW, I didn't make up his (Muhammad's) history, he did.
