It's been proven that cats are not color blind. They can see shades of blues and greens, but not reds. Since we know they can see some colors to varying degrees, maybe the yellow just puts him off.
My friend's boyfriend has a cat that's terrified of anything purple. Not kidding.

I have always heard that cats are color blind. But I have a cat that plays with these mice that we have and she always will bring the pink one to you. It got so old and wore out we had to get another one. She doesnt like the other colors. My simease isnt the one whos pickey thou.

Siamese cats are crazy! I love them! But I thought cats were color blind. Wait, maybe they aren't really cats but creatures from outer space?

I have two cats I have come to the conclusion they are strange. don't even try to figure them out all you get is more confused
