One night, one of my girl friends texted & invited him to a house party, apparently I was there, so he went. There wasn't a house party, they were just drinking so my bf decided to go home. One of my friends whose gay, stopped him from leaving, so he stayed for a while.

The drinking spree was almost over when he decided to leave. It was just him & my gay friend who was left in the living room. That's the time my gay friend started taking advantage of him. But my bf pushed him away & left.

A few days after, rumors are spreading that my bf is gay. I told my bf about it so he told me what really happened that night. I confronted my gay friend & told him to clean-up the mess he did. He said he won't, he said fancies my bf so much & I can't do anything about it. I was raging!

I know he was furious that my bf didn't give in to his advances, but ruining my bf's reputation to retaliate? That's not fair! I am thinking of asking for solicitor's/lawyer's advice on this.Any suggestions?

I actually thought he was a friend, until this thing happened. My bf is not gay. It's very clear that it was a sort of revenge thing. It was a "set-up". Some friends told me maybe "those friends" that I thought were my friends, was just envious. I don't wanna brag but my bf is a good catch, physically & intellectually. I want my gay friend to at least say sorry to him, to us, but instead he was too proud! I wanna teach him a lesson & make him learn his lesson well.

Revenge comes in various forms. Law suits are not necessary the right thing to do. Think about the publicity and putting your bf in the spot of confrontation by the court over such issue. That might be a worse situation to take place.

Actually,I've personally encountered this before. And,today, all of them who spread the rumours couldn't even dare to lift their heads (literally) if they meet me on the streets.

The coolest remedy to this would be to let time heal this childish prank. Live your love life to the max. Best if you were to get married, have kids and live happily ever after. I'll tell you your gay frd would be so made,he'll probably kill himself for spiking you on that account.

Good Luck!

Hmmmm,
I can tell by your wordage that you're British. Here in the USA we'd say that somebody (your gay friend) is due for a serious ***-kicking! (that means a good punch in the nose at least).
Problem with that is, then your bf might need a good solicitor.
I'd suggest just let it go. It's obviously your so-called friends who were there drinking that are spreading the rumor, so it's just going to be a matter of time before everyone else dismisses the whole thing.

First mistake was drinking. Secondly, some things we bring upon ourselves. Thirdly, no one deserves to be lied on. Now, I suggest you try talking to your Gay friend one more time, to give him the benefit of the doubt to clear up all of the rumors and lies. Then inform him if he doesn't, there will be actions you and your boyfriend will take. After all is said and done and there is no response to your request, then I would proceeded with actions from a council with charges of, "Character Assassination". I wish you and your boyfriend well and I hope this is a lesson well learned. Just like drinking and driving does not mix drinking and parting doesn't as well. Needless to say, your so call Gay friend was never a true friend to begin with.

theres nothing really you can do. it sucks, but unfortuantly your gay "friend" cant print a retraction, and you cant sue him for spreading a false rumor. we dont live in hollywood and our lives dont really rest on people thinking if were gay or not. so, the only thing you can do, is stick by your boyfriend, and his friends as well-and move on. sorry.

why don't you just let it go and ignore this gay friend. You're making it worse by drawing attention to it.
