I wish scientists found a solution to treat cancer and a medicine which lets people live five years extra only.

1) An anti-spam filter that worked
2) A firewall that was idiot-proof and kept the bad-guys out
3) An anti-virus filter that was reliable.
4) A spoof-guard system that would detect spoofed sites, report them and disable the site
5) Programs that didn't require constant updating to protect themselves from hacker exploits because they were well written and tested properly
6) A system that detected altered photos on web sites, showed the original and warned the viewer
7) A way to disable all the ads/sites advertising bogus meds that make fantastic claims

The pocket nuke - a teeny-weeny nuclear bomb to take out the people who annoy you.
A truly electric car - not a hybrid - that actually has real horse-power and looks cute
Plastic surgery without scarring. And boob-jobs that actually look real (I would get me some boobs if I didn't think that I would end up looking like a I had two coconuts stuck to the front of me....).
Android boyfriends. You could keep them in the closet and only turn them on when you need them.

I think they should invent like night vision contact lenses (at least I think they haven't invented it yet..) Also, maybe how to make things invisible or how to be able to seperate atoms in order to move things without having to use your hands ect..
