Since most countries in the west have abolished compulsory military training, would it be good for discipline and all that to introduce some compulsory social service?

I can imagine a scheme where beautiful women 18-21 years old would serve half a year naked in a special brothel tied to a bed where dudes who were tested HIV negative could have unlimited sex with them.

Yes, social service should be compulsory in lieu of military service. Got to get teenagers to stop thinking of themselves all the time. Your brothel scheme has merit, but having her tied to the bed? Maybe a system where 18-21 year old girls take supervised trips with armed escorts to forward areas and service the GIs...

Um, the first part sounded great. I have thought at times that it would be good to make everyone who could serve in some capacity serve in the military just to get the discipline and to understand what it is to sacrifice and serve. At the same time though, having an all volunteer military is one of the things I love about the military and what makes it special, I think. By providing more options for social service, it could solve that problem. The military is not the only place one can serve and learn about sacrificing ones self for the good of others!
The second part, not such a hot idea... although... it might convince more chicks to join the military. God knows we need them. I feel so alone and paranoid surrounded by all these penises all the time!
