Hello. - In my opinion, I do not believe it is a 'sin to hate other people without knowing them, however:

"trying to gain some understanding of who they are and why they believe what they believe."

Is a tolerant idea. - Teaching oneself thru education to walk in another person's shoes, than understanding (after you are educated on the subject at hand) to possibly just relate and be tolerant.

As people around the world are tolerant of other countries, more specifically the people in those countries. (And the Religions, Beliefs etc etc..)

I do not believe it is a 'sin to hate other people.
If one is educated on the actually idea/thing/material that is despised, perhaps ones hate would soften, turn into relating and tolerance.

Have a nice day. :)

I would say it is definately a sin against the person you hate. As for if it is a sin against God...I'd say it is. The Bible tells us not to bring an accusation against an elder unless there is somebody else there as a witness. If this is commanded in the Bible, it makes sense to assume that is because God wants something to be judged based on the whole picture, not just one little element. Thus, to hate someone without getting to know them or why reasons they are as they are, would be to bring an accusation with no one to verify. In a sense.

Sin is a religious concept best left to the ignorant and the superstitious. Rather hating someone with inadequate knowledge or understanding of them and their beliefs is merely ignorant and a sign of both poor breeding and low class.

Hate in itself is a sin. You should never hate, especially if you don't know the person. Unfortunately, it happens every day. Sad really. It seems to be an epidemic in the US. Hate towards people because of their religious beliefs. Not cool.

We believe in what we are to believe in, it it deep rooted within your soul and you must break free of the sin genie pool that you inherit from all your past ancestors.Which is your soul the physcial body ,within the soul is your true living life force which is a reflection of all that you are ,all that you can be and all that comes to pass in rea lity. This is your spirit your true form that has yet to born onto you ,it is released at time of your physcial death, the spirit within comes to the house of God and is judged. If you are un clean spirit this means unholy in spirit you cant pass through th e heavenly gates of enterity. You must be holy in spirit in order to become a part of the greatest reward of all.HEADING FOR THE GOLDEN GATE VERY SOON TO TEACH THE PEOPLE THE WAY ,THE TRUTH ONTO THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Not really. As long as you don't act on your hatred :) I fully support the rights of others to be as biased, hateful and stupid as they want. I'm prety sure they'll suffer more for it in the long term than the people they hate. Once again, as long as they don't act. 'Cause most of the actions that spring from hate are illegal, which has it's own system of punishment.

It is a sin. God said that you should love everybody no matter what. Its also stated in the Bible the you should love you friends as weel as you enemies. Bottom line is to love everyone whether you knoe them or not.

Since the second of the two great commandments is to love your neighbor as yourself, I would say YES it is a sin to hate anyone weither you know them or not. To dislike someone is another matter...it is not a sin to dislike someone.

Just ask yourself, is blind hatred productive? Is knowledge and understanding fulfilling? You have to make the choice.
