I don't see why not. It's more a matter of manners than sin. And someone who obliviously takes up your time and can't take a hint has bad manners.

There is always going to be someone that you don't like to talk to. But if you pull your phone out EVERY TIME you see them it might make them feel bad. I believe in Karma but only because I've seen people go through what they put other people through. It's ok to avoid people sometimes, but not all the time. Would you like it if there was someone you wanted to talk to and they kept avoiding you? It's a typical depression, if you think about it you could make someones day by just saying hi. Who knows what they're going through in the first place. Sometimes what you don't know can hurt other people.

I just answered your hermit question.
I have a voice recorder and if I do not want to talk on the phone for any reason, and there are many when your alone and a stay at home, so it either gets erased or I will answer it when I have time.
If there are people that you do not want to talk to, avoid it any whay possible.
I do not like people to talk about people that I do not know, about things that may not even be true,
A few times talking to such people and then see some one they know, the cold shoulder from the strangers is enough to let you know, it was them you heard about, and you they heard about, so avoid such. What else can a peace maker do.
Some such, make a congregation have such problems.
I love peace and calm.
God and Christ have us all covered. Even the trouble maker will learn calm.

No. I do this as well. I walk the city a lot and there are a lot of people you do not want to talk to you. Sometimes if I cam walking by myself and I feel unsafe I pretend to be on the phone as well. If I see someone who really bugs me, I will talk on the phone and pretend I didn't see them or just wave. Its a modern day defense mechanism.

Any kind of cheating is wrong. You could let him know politely that yo u do not wish to talk long with him.
P.S If you feel guilty after you did something then it's a good indication that it was probably wrong what you did.
